What You’ll Do
As the General Manager of our Tucker, GA distribution facility, you will have full operational, financial, and people leadership responsibility for the site. This role requires a hands-on, results-driven leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution across warehouse operations, transportation, safety, quality, and employee development.
You will be accountable for end-to-end facility performance, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost control, and exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Operational Ownership
- Provide full leadership and accountability for all warehouse and transportation operations across day and night shifts, including inbound, outbound, transfer, and cross-dock activities.
- Set operational priorities, establish performance expectations, and ensure consistent execution across all functions and shifts.
- Maintain a strong floor presence to drive productivity, quality, safety, and accountability.
- Oversee transportation operations including dispatch, routing, scheduling, and carrier coordination.
- Optimize routing, fleet utilization, and labor planning to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and safe deliveries.
- Partner with logistics and DC leadership to align inbound scheduling, outbound capacity, and transfer execution.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, AQL requirements, inventory accuracy, and ERP documentation.
- Oversee audits, inspections, and corrective action plans to maintain regulatory and customer standards.
- Champion a culture of quality, safety, and continuous compliance.
- Own site-level budgeting and cost management for warehousing and transportation.
- Analyze labor, transportation, and operational expenses to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
- Review financial performance regularly and implement corrective actions to meet budget and service goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse, transportation, and safety leaders and staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and retention strategies to build a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive, accountable workplace culture with open communication and strong employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Lead safety programs, training, audits, and incident investigations.
- Ensure the facility is clean, organized, well-maintained, and operating safely.
- Drive preventative maintenance and continuous facility improvements.
- Ensure effective use of ERP systems for inventory, transfers, reporting, and documentation.
- Track and analyze KPIs including productivity, error rates, inventory accuracy, transportation performance, and safety metrics.
- Prepare and present operational, safety, and financial reports to senior leadership.
- Partner with supply chain, food safety, customer service, sales, and corporate leadership to align site operations with company goals.
- Resolve customer service issues related to inventory, shipping, or delivery performance.
- Ensure consistent communication and alignment across shifts and departments.
- Implement lean principles, process improvements, and technology enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead change initiatives and support company-wide operational strategies.
- Identify risks and opportunities, proactively addressing issues before they impact service or safety.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse and distribution operations, including inbound, outbound, transfer, and cross-dock functions.
- Proven experience leading multi-shift teams and managing full-site operations.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, AQL requirements, and inventory accuracy controls.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing transportation logistics, dispatch, routing, and DOT/OSHA compliance.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work a 6-day work week with flexible availability based on operational needs.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (desired not required)
